Echoes of Beale Street:
A Literary Poster Series
This personal poster series explores the intersection of historical literary works and contemporary visual design. Drawing inspiration from Langston Hughes' influential 1928 piece "Boy on Beale Street," the project recontextualizes classic American literature through modern typographic and visual storytelling. The series incorporates C.J. Krieger's "Lost Dreams" as body text, creating a dialogue between different literary voices and eras. Background imagery was developed using Adobe Generative Fill and DALL-E, blending AI-assisted visual creation with thoughtful design composition.
Developed as an independent creative exploration, the work demonstrates how historical narratives can be given new visual life while honoring their original poetic power.
